The clean you cannot give yourself at home.
Even the best brushing misses a little. A hygiene visit removes the build-up you cannot reach at home and keeps your gums healthy.
Who it is for
Everyone benefits from a regular clean, but it matters most if your gums bleed when you brush, you have braces or implants, you smoke, or you are pregnant. We will suggest how often to come based on your gums, not a fixed schedule.
Does it hurt?
Most people find a clean comfortable. If your gums are sensitive, we can use a numbing gel and work more slowly. You can raise a hand to pause at any time.
Afterwards
Your teeth may feel smoother and a little sensitive for a day. Brush as usual that evening. We will suggest when to come back, usually every six months.

Common questions
Can children have a hygiene visit?
Yes. Children with braces or early signs of decay benefit most. We keep visits short and explain each step as we go.
How is this different from a check-up?
A check-up is an exam by a dentist. A hygiene visit is a deep clean by a hygienist. Many patients book both together.
Will my gums bleed afterwards?
A little bleeding for a day is normal if your gums were inflamed. It settles quickly as they heal.
